We're going to Christene Blondell's make up academy to learn some horror make-up techniques so that we can make our horror trailer look more realistic. For this we needed to be prepared with some questions to ask her so we could make the most of our visit to the make up academy.
we asked:
1. What make-up would we need to create bruises and grazes?
Answer: Using a sponge, get some red paint and dab it onto the area you want to look bruised, to make it more realistic add some paint of a similar skin tone to your actor.
For a graze you will need PVA glue and skin toned paint with some fake blood. Mix the skin toned paint and the glue together then apply to the actors skin. wait for it to dry and then start to peal of some of the glue but not all the way off. Apply some fake blood underneath the parts of blood that you have peeled.
2. How can we create the effect of someone's face looking washed out as though they have been drowned?
Answer: You wont require make-up for this, that is mainly in the acting
